Create & Explore
Driven by a love to create things and explore the world around me, I pursue a wide range of interests. Below is a brief overview of some of my favorite recent and future projects. I welcome questions or connections.
Wisconsin Arts Board Folk & Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program, 2024–2026
In 2024, I was honored to be selected as a mentee in the Wisconsin Arts Board Folk & Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program. Through this multi-year opportunity, I am apprenticing under Oneida Beadwork Artist Jennifer Jordan, deepening my knowledge of Haudenosaunee beadwork traditions and expanding my technical and cultural understanding of the art form.
Year One (2024–2025)
During the first year of the program, I learned to create Haudenosaunee beaded picture frames — an intricate, time-intensive process that requires patience, precision, and respect for tradition. Under Jennifer’s guidance, I completed three beaded frames, each one strengthening my technical skill and appreciation for the cultural significance of this art form.
As part of the program’s public component, we held a showcase of our work at Turtle Island Gifts in May 2025. Sharing our pieces with the community was a meaningful way to honor both mentorship and tradition.
Year Two (2025–2026)
We were honored to receive funding for a second year of the apprenticeship. This year, in addition to creating more Haudenosaunee-style beaded frames, we are expanding our practice by incorporating caribou hair tufting into the designs — blending dimensional texture with beadwork to continue evolving the form while remaining rooted in tradition.
A major milestone in year two is stepping into the role of teacher. In June, I will be offering a class where students will learn how to create a small beaded picture frame. Teaching this process is an extension of the apprenticeship model — passing knowledge forward while honoring the lineage it comes from.

Mini Beaded Picture Frame Workshop
June 2026
As part of Year Two of the Wisconsin Arts Board’s Folk & Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program, I will be leading a two-part workshop alongside my mentor, Oneida beadwork artist Jennifer Jordan.
This apprenticeship program supports respected traditional artists in passing their knowledge and techniques on to dedicated apprentices through year-long mentorship and cultural arts education.
During this workshop, students with prior beading experience will learn how to create a miniature beaded picture frame designed to hold a wallet-sized photograph. The class will focus on detailed construction techniques, design considerations, and finishing methods for functional beadwork.
The workshop will take place over two Saturdays, with students continuing work on their frames during the week between sessions. All supplies will be provided.
This project is part of my continued exploration of Haudenosaunee-inspired beadwork and my ongoing commitment to learning, preserving, and sharing Indigenous art practices through community-based teaching and mentorship.
Native American Guild Artist
I am a proud member of the SRTAG – State‑Recognized Tribal Artists Guild (SRTAG), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preserving, promoting, and supporting authentic Native American art created by artists from state-recognized tribes. Through this guild, I participate in a vibrant community that fosters creative exchange, professional development, cultural advocacy, and opportunities to connect with audiences who value Indigenous artistic practices. Membership includes inclusion in the guild’s art directory, access to educational resources and events and shared efforts to uphold the integrity of traditional and contemporary Native art.
Retail Representation – Center for the Visual Arts (CVA)
In Fall 2025, I was honored to be invited to sell my beaded earrings at the Center for the Visual Arts (CVA) Shop in Wausau.
Having my beadwork represented in the CVA Shop is a meaningful milestone in my artistic journey. Each pair of earrings reflects my continued exploration of beadwork traditions, color, pattern, and craftsmanship — blending cultural influence with contemporary wearable design.

Exhibitions & Art Markets
Each year, I make it a goal to participate in at least one juried art exhibition. Recently, I have intentionally focused on exhibiting my work beyond the Fox Valley, expanding into new communities and gallery spaces across Wisconsin.
In 2025, my work was exhibited in Door County and Wausau — meaningful opportunities that allowed my photography and mixed media work to reach new audiences.
For the past two years, I have also participated as a vendor in the Native Art Market at the Arts + Literature Laboratory in Madison. This annual market, typically held in November, brings together Native artists from across the region and is a space rooted in cultural expression, community connection, and creative exchange.
I will continue to share updates about upcoming exhibitions, gallery showings, and art markets right here.
